[As we have reported in our previous article, about our participation at the Japanese Society of Occupational Therapy for Developmental Disabilities, now it is our great pleasure to publish the "Activity Report" of that event. We hope you will find it interesting!]

Exhibition Hall

We rented a place at the long end of the hall, then set up the small items on the desk and the large items on the floor. We really appreciated that so many visitors came to our booth at every break! We found a lot of visitors who said, "I have seen your advertisement in the abstract!" to "What is this?". Everyone had a chance to touch and experience all the products we exhibited.

Hazumi Board

Hazumi Board is a device, if you step on this board, the foot rubber bounces and it makes you unstable.

When you stepped on the Hazumi Board like a stepping stone, the first thing you said was "Whoa!" then the first voice you said...  "Oh, this could be a fun..." and then, "Oh, this is really a fun".

We could hear the last voice of the participants saying, "This is so much fun!". This sense of instability is hard to put into words, but we are sure that this will be a sensory integration device that you can enjoy riding and experimenting with!

The materials distributed at the venue on the day of the event can be downloaded from here. [Japanese Only]

Lasal Flotation Cushions

Now let's change to a pool scene. This is a Cushion used for pool activities. It provides just the right amount of support for your body (it's difficult to make you understand how good it is until you actually try it), it creates a state where you don't float too much or sink too much.

If you use common vinyl floats that partially float the body, you can easily get into a strained state or feel uncomfortable and you may not want to wear them. But with this one, you don't have to worry about these.

The question "Does it really float?" was uttered by the visitors frequesntly as It's understandable to be worried. But when they look at the photos, they said, "Oh, I see, this is what it looks like!".

Even if your child has a developmental disability with a difficulty in putting his/her face to the water, you can use a T-shaped cushion to support his/her face and chest. It may help him/her to be able to lying down and floating gradually.

Quick Talker 7/12/23

This is a standard AbleNet VOCA (Voice Output Communication Aids).

Even if you are not comfortable with fingertip operation, the guide (wall next to the pushbutton) is higher than conventional products, which also prevents mistouch.

If your child is not good at talking to others first, this will help them learn how to talk to others by themselves.

Lastly

The newly developedHazumi Boardwhich was the centerpiece of this year's event, has been highly anticipated by many people. We are happy to hear that many people have asked us to let them know as soon as the product goes on sale. We will continue to work hard in development, manufacturing, and sales to meet your expectations!

We look forward to your continued support to Pacific Supply.

Thank you very much to everyone who attended the event!
