The 42nd Annual Meeting of Japanese Society for Disability and Oral Health took place at Osaka International Convention Center on November 1–2, 2025. We showcased Dental Cushions, and the event was a huge success! Check out some scenes from the event below!

Exhibition Venue

The exhibition hall and poster session area were set up side by side, and even during session hours, visitors kept streaming in nonstop. When it was time for poster discussions, the place was absolutely packed—people everywhere! Our booth, located right in front of the entrance, naturally caught everyone’s attention. Last year, we had to actively reach out to visitors to get them to notice our products, but this year, many attendees came straight to us. It really felt like awareness of our products has grown!

Product Introduction

Many visitors from a wide range of professions—including dentists, dental hygienists, nurses, and therapists—stopped by, bringing a variety of questions. A common theme, however, was about handling and maintenance.

Questions like:

  • How should it be disinfected?
  • What about daily maintenance?

To which we explained:

  • The cushions come with covers that can be washed and disinfected.
  • Please disinfect with alcohol as needed, and after a day’s use, wash and dry them in a washing machine (up to 90°C).

They were very pleased, saying things like, “This is really great! and “So awesome! (As expected from the Osaka venue!)

They mentioned that the products they usually use can’t withstand disinfection, and the covers end up falling apart like fish scales. We also had the opportunity to learn many things we didn’t know before.

Hands-on Experience

After explaining the features of the Dental Cushions, we let participants experience the comfort of the cushions for themselves. This time, we used chairs to simulate sitting on a dental chair. The cushions supported the arms, shoulders, and neck, allowing everyone to lean back and relax.

Participants all shared similar impressions, saying things like:

  • My neck feels so comfortable!
  • I want one for myself!
  • This would be great for airplane travel!

Although the comments varied, everyone agreed on one thing: it’s comfortable!
When the neck area is well-supported and relaxed, it becomes easier to open the mouth, making treatment smoother—there’s the logic behind it.

What was particularly striking this time was that many visitors picked up the catalog for LASAL Cushions, which is designed for use on a bed. It was even more popular than we expected and ran out super quickly—we’re sorry to those who missed out!

It also gave us a clear insight into how challenging it can be to manage posture, especially for patients with cerebral palsy.

Poster Session

We can’t share all the details of the presentation, but last year at the Okinawa conference, a dental center that had purchased Dental Cushions shared a case where it was used during treatment. The presentation featured two patients with cerebral palsy, and in both cases, it was reported that:

Muscle tension throughout the body was relaxed, making treatment easier.

It was a real “aha!” moment for us, showing that just like Lasal Cushins, Dental Cushions can also be a great help in dental treatment settings.

Getting Ready for Implementation

We’ve received many comments like, “It’s a bit difficult to purchase right away…” so we’ve prepared a 2-week rental service to help you try it out first.

Pat Rental Service for Dental Cushions

We understand that scheduling with patients can be tricky, but we hope you’ll take this opportunity to see and feel the effects for yourself. To use the service, please follow the instructions at the link above. (Applications open from November 21st.) We would be delighted if this helps make dental care safer and more comfortable, even just a little.

Next year, the event will be held in Niigata, and we hope to see you there again!

Finally, we sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth. We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to working with you in the future.
