Toward "No Lift Care”

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new series of articles on our website, “Care Lifts "Molift" de No Lift (No lift with Care Lift "Molift") Across six installments, we will highlight the unique features of the Molift range and share practical tips and situational examples to support safer, more effective care in daily practice.

What is "No-Lift Care"?
No-lift care refers to an approach that ensures safety and peace of mind for both caregivers and those receiving care.

Manual lifting and carrying of care recipients not only causes back pain and injuries for caregivers, but can also lead to contractures and pressure injuries for those receiving care. No-lift care provides a safer and more compassionate approach for both. It reduces the physical burden on staff while creating an environment in which care recipients can feel secure and comfortably supported. Greater safety and comfort—for those who provide care and those who receive it. Let us work together to create care that is gentle and supportive for all.

Part 5: Making the Most of the User's Own Abilities!  A Win-Win Transfer Solution for Both Users and Caregivers !

Transfers from one seated position to another are common in everyday life, such as:

  • from a wheelchair to a therapy table in the rehabilitation room,
  • from a bed to a wheelchair, and
  • from a wheelchair to a toilet.

These transfers generally require the person to stand up from a seated position before sitting down again elsewhere. As a result, they involve a series of coordinated movements that can be physically demanding for both the user and the caregiver.

Successful transfers require various physical abilities, including:

  • The ability to maintain a stable sitting posture
  • Good balance when leaning forward without losing stability
  • The ability to stand securely on one leg while repositioning the feet
  • Sufficient joint flexibility to rotate the body
  • And other coordinated motor functions

Transfers Using Various Transfer Aids Based on the User's Functional Abilities

Several methods of transferring from one seated position to another can be used depending on the individual's functional abilities.
