GIGA School Initiative & One Device per Student Follow-up Seminar
Practical Use of Assistive Technology for Input and Output in Special Needs Education

We held an online follow-up seminar on assistive technology for input and output. The seminar was attended primarily by teachers from special needs schools across Japan. We introduced how to use our product, Blue2FT, and shared practical examples, followed by a Q&A session.
Blue2FT is being introduced as an assistive input/output device for one-device-per-student environments under the GIGA School Initiative.

A total of 69 people registered, and 36 attended the seminar. An archive video was provided to those who were unable to attend. Among the participants, 82% were teachers and 15% were therapists.

According to the registration questionnaire, approximately 60% of respondents had already introduced Blue2FT, while 40% had not. Among those who had introduced the product, 75% said they were interested in using it but did not fully understand how to use it and therefore used it very little. The seminar provided an opportunity for participants to learn more about Blue2FT and explore how to make better use of it.

Summary

During the Q&A session, Professor Kanamori and our staff addressed questions submitted in advance and raised during the seminar, leading to a lively exchange with participants.

The post-seminar questionnaire showed positive feedback, including that the timing met participants’ needs and that the seminar was comfortable to attend thanks to a stable online connection. Nearly 90% of participants reported being satisfied with each session. We were pleased to provide a seminar that met their expectations.
